Dear Friends,
This was a tough week for us. The boys both came down with respiratory infections and were put back on the ventilator. You and I need about a week or so to recover from these types of infections, so Alex and Zach will need at least that long. Furthermore, Alexander was diagnosed with RSV, a serious lung infection, and placed in isolation. Please pray for a quick recovery for both boys.
The boys are now considered to have chronic lung disease. This really isn't all that surprising considering their extreme pre-maturity, and at least it's something they will eventually outgrow.
On other fronts, they plan to start re-introducing Zachary to breast milk in the next few days, and both boys continue to gain weight.
Please continue to lift up these boys in your prayers.
